JK Rowling sent a magical gift to children in the Himalayas
Not everyone gets a gift from JK Rowling personally, however these 12 year olds in the Himalayas were shocked to receive something very special.
A few months ago, Sabbah Haji — a teacher from Haji Public School in the northern Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, shared with JK Rowling an essay by one of her students, twelve-year-old Kulsum Bano Batt, who had written about how she was inspired by Rowling’s life.
Here’s how it all started:
The Harry Potter author responded and sent Kulsum a special gift.
Rowling initially replied in a tweet, asking:
The school now have this tweet on the wall like an award, Sabbah said:
Shoutout to the very gracious J K Rowling. This tweet framed for ever in our school hallway.
2 months later, we get the sequel to this adorable interaction!
The school added, when sharing the photos with the world:
HELLO, WORLD. SO JK ROWLING SENT A HUGE GIFT BOX FOR KULSUM AND FRIENDS. HANDWRITTEN NOTE, INSCRIBED BOOK, AND THIS IS ALMOST TOO MUCH TO HANDLE. We are so thrilled and squeaky, I cannot even. Thank you so much, Ms Rowling.
JK took to Twitter to voice her excitement!
I’m so happy it got there! I was getting worried!
It turns out JK Rowling really does make magic, and it’s incredible to see.
