Capybaras are the most liked animal, by other animals! But why is this?
This question has been posed for years, and when the question went viral on social media, Bored Panda decided to do a little research.

Of course, all the anecdotal evidence is there. There are thousands of pictures of capybaras just chilling with other animals, both in captivity and in the wild.

Every animal, including crocodiles, seem to love hanging out with this friendly creature that looks like a hybrid of a rat and a pig!

And with a life span of 8-10 years, luckily the conservatation status of capybara’s is of the lowest concern, there’s plenty to go around.

The answer likely stems from the fact that capybaras are very sociable animals, one of the most sociable rodents.

Capybaras live in groups of 10-20 individuals, and often with many different species!

The lovable capybara can grow up to a size of up to 134m, and can weigh as much as 66k, making them the largest rodent in the world

The South America native’s are semi-aquatic mammals and prefer to live near bodies of water.

They can also be kept as pets in some countries!

They are excellent swimmers, and can avoid a predator by staying submerged for up to 5 minutes.

They ONLY mate whilst under water.

They also enjoy to eat their own dung.
